Strength Training for Seniors: How We Help You Feel Younger and Move Better

At Burn District Fitness, we work with incredible people every day—but clients like Donna remind us just how powerful strength training can be, at any age.

Donna came to us in May 2024 at 71 years old. Her goal? Stay strong and confident enough to keep doing what she loves—sailing. She was concerned about her strength, balance, and stamina, especially on the open water. Like many older adults, Donna had taken a long break from consistent exercise. She wasn’t sure where to start, but she was ready to feel capable again.

A year later, she set sail for a week-long trip—feeling confident, stable, and energized.

That’s the kind of transformation that goes beyond physical change. It’s about independence, vitality, and joy.

We specialize in helping older adults train in a way that’s safe, smart, and supportive. Whether you’re dealing with joint pain, dizziness, or just haven’t felt like “yourself” in a while, we use modalities like bodyweight movements, resistance bands, balance work, dumbbells, and kettlebells to help rebuild strength and function.

Even more important? You’ll never have to guess what to do. Our coaching provides expertise, structure, accountability, and step-by-step guidance to help you feel better week by week.

It’s not about chasing numbers or pushing limits. It’s about being strong enough to live the life you want—with confidence.
